Al-Watania Grand Parents introduced our advanced poultry transport technology in the Kingdom of Saudi-Arabia (KSA). They acquired two Heering 90 chick carriers to transport their 4 million Parent Stock day-old chicks per year in the KSA and neighbouring Gulf States. Al-Watania Poultry is the largest poultry establishment in the Middle-East, and a major poultry company worldwide. It is a fully integrated operation. They cover a total area of 230km², including housing, industrial and technical sectors. With a 7,000-person workforce on board, Al-Watania Poultry is processing one-million (1M) Broiler Chickens and one and a half-million (1,5M) Table Eggs per day.
It was a pleasure to meet the Al-Watania Poultry team in Riyadh. They were looking for solutions that provide the best possible airflow for their Parent Stock day-old chicks. After this visit and further research, Al-Watania Grand Parents decided that Heering offers the most appropriate solutions to distribute their Parent Stock day-old chicks in optimal conditions.
Both Heering 90s are equipped with stainless steel filters, customized trolleys for cardboard boxes, interior disinfection systems, and sufficient cool-capacity. Furthermore, Al-Watania Grand Parents has chosen additional desert cooling to meet the extreme climate conditions that could reach up to 55 °C. This is achieved using pads that cool and humidify the incoming air by evaporation of water. Additionally, the system works as an air purifier, filtering dust and sand from the unit. They also added a back-up generator for additional safety, and the Heering link track and trace to follow and analyze their trips. The units were shipped as a turnkey solution and are ready to use after arrival in the KSA. On-site staff training including a first delivery completed the package.
