Heering provided two training sessions to the Al-Watania Grand Parents team before and at the time of delivery. We wish them good results with their Heering trucks.
Al-Watania Poultry is the largest poultry establishment in the Middle-East, and a major poultry company worldwide. It is a fully integrated operation. They cover a total area of 230km², including housing, and industrial and technical sectors. With a 7.000-person workforce on board, Al-Watania Poultry is processing one-million (1M) Broiler Chickens and one and a half-million (1,5M) Table Eggs per day.
Our senior technical trainer held the first training at the office of Heering in January, at the time, Al-Watania Grand Parents’ day-old chick carriers were in the manufacturing phase. The participants learned about technical installation and servicing. The second training was held by Gerrit van der Linde in the KSA in June, at the time of delivery. During the presentation, Gerrit provided information about day-old chicks and shared details about the chick carriers’ capabilities. After the presentation, Gerrit joined one of Al-Watania’s teams on its first trip from Al-Jouf to Al-Qassim.
These training sessions provided participants with the certifications they need to utilize their new Heering equipment. They were recognized for completing the technical training for Heering’s professional day-old chick transport equipment, and also for completing the training and demonstration of skills in professional day-old chick transport.
‘’At delivery of a Heering day-old chick truck, we normally include a training session and accompany the first delivery. We already trained mechanics in the Netherlands during the construction of the vehicles for Al-Watania Grand Parents. Supervisors, mechanics, managers, and staff participated in the on-site training at Al-Watania. The first trip with parent stock took 15 hours, during the night. I was impressed by the organization and biosecurity level. This type of truck is a necessity for breeding stock transport over long distances in the harsh climate of Saudi Arabia. I wish Al-Watania good results with their Heering trucks’’, says Gerrit van der Linde, Senior Poultry Specialist of Heering.
Engr. Ayman Ragab Fayed, Technical Manager at Al-Watania Grand Parents shared: ‘’We received an extensive training at Heering to understand all ins and outs of the chick carriers, and now the trucks are in operation, the results in the field are very good!’’
